Saturday 5th May
I very nearly set the house on fire today, not intentionally
of course. Who would have thought cooking an insignificant potato in the microwave
would cause it to set alight, and subsequently fill the house with smoke? And
where is a fire fighter when you need one? Turning up after the event, some
lame excuse about removing a car from a Chinese restaurant, and then giving
advice about ‘pressurising’ the room, I’ll pressurise him!!
This weather is such rubbish doesn’t inspire me to either
gardening or clean the house, and I think next few days more of the same.
Feeling decidedly naked
around my head as hair loss is now rapid, however I’ve saved it and it will go
on the bird table so they can nest build with it! LOL
Off to a party tonight at a friend’s house, so looking
forward to merriment and frivolities amongst fellow badminton players,
(although not a late night forecast as a bit sleep deprived).
‘What men call gallantry, and gods adultery, is much more
common where the climate’s sultry.’

Weather is rubbish!!! John was at boat show for sea cadets-but barely anyone about not suprisingly! Hope you enjoy the party. Fingers crossed they've got the forecast wrong-we could all do with some sunshine at the weekend. Catch up soon xxx
ReplyDeleteWeather dull and rather boring. Hope you get a few rays of sunshine for your walk this afternoon. xx
ReplyDeleteOh Jill! Couldn't resist referring to the microwave saga. Adds a bit of drama to the day I suppose! Hope all OK and not too smokey smelling. Last time I thought I'd try and be a proper, grown up housewife like Jill Luce and do a batch of ironing (to this day I reeeeally don't know what came over me)I heard a fizzle and the iron caught fire. I'm sure I said something in my wedding vows too actually. "Love, honour and obey and do no ironing." Sure of it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the walk today, I'll be thinking of you and Steve, hope you don't get too wet. It's supposed to clear up a bit later I think. xx
