Monday 2nd July
This will be a random blog tonight so you need to
concentrate and try to keep up-ok?
Started the day watching the dawn come up- it was beautiful,
but sadly didn’t last, I did get back to sleep which was a bonus!
Heard one of my favourite ‘old’ songs on the radio at
breakfast so felt I had to have a dance around the kitchen, much to the disgust
of son and daughter (I didn’t care; I had the feel good vibes!)
Made the wise choice
not to go to aqua aerobics, too tired and water would have been too chilly, besides
want to get rid of these mouth ulcers first.
My daughter and I were on a mission, to blitz her bedroom! We
began at 10am and other than a short break for lunch- finished at 3.30pm!
I needed some fresh air so a short walk was in order (bad
timing, started to rain!) Despite having to stop and rest going uphill I
enjoyed it and must be getting out of the ‘post chemo slump’.
Honestly, I feel saturated with chemotherapy I’m sure I smell
‘chemical’!! Plus I’m getting to the point I can almost count my eyebrow hairs
so things are getting bad!!
At last the vegetable garden is producing veg we can eat, (I
need to justify my gardening catalogues) - we had mange tout peas last night,
and this evening I picked chard, spinach and kale to supplement the tasty pork
and beans-delicious!
Now the absolutely best bit of today was the postman
arriving with son no 3’s degree results- and ……………………………. He had 69.45%- which
means a 2:1, cruelly a half % short of a first!!!!!!!! So proud of him, a
brilliant achievement in Business Management……………now about getting a job….!!!
“We’ve all met people who are supposedly incredibly
intelligent but don’t know which way to sit on a lavatory” Stephen Fry
Well done Son No. 3. Excellent!!
