Saturday 14th July
A headline caught my eye in today’s paper “A plague of nits
follows damp and humid days”. Phew, at least that’s one less thing I have to
worry about …….
I must have had a rush of blood to the head this morning,
that, and faced with another ‘grey’ start to the day, I decided to clean out a
few cupboards and re- arranged some kitchen equipment. Ha, that fooled the
family for a short while- I like to keep them on their toes!!!
We had a lovely ‘Opening of the new Jersey Oyster Company
shed’ down in St Clement at lunchtime and were treated with VIP status- (it
looked fantastic and such a great achievement after many years of hard work).
Well done to the whole ‘team’ of people behind the project.
We had to leave early to try and get to St Ouen to see the ‘Give
us a Wave’ charity fund raiser, but unfortunately missed it- however they have
another 40 teams entered tomorrow so there is still time to see some action!
The website went ‘live’ today- www.fojo.je so
I will be kept busy ‘blogging’ for them too!! (Until they notice that actually
I mostly write complete drivel and ‘sack’ me!)
Popped into to ‘The Shire’ of St Ouen to see Bilbo Baggins
and the family of hobbits, they were having a BBQ and had invited all their
friends (obviously not us as we were far too tall and from the East and unknown
lands), still we managed to disrupt the proceedings for a short while before
heading back to the safety of St Martin! (Via a supermarket to pick up supplies
for the parish ‘torch’ bearers tomorrow afternoon), but that’s another story...
“Some days you’re the pigeon, and some days you’re the
statue” David Brent (The Office)
John did his bit for Give us a wave & enjoyed it-Daisy had a little go on her boogie board & john said she was better than him!! I don't need to rearrange my kitchen cupboards-Jamie can't find anything at anytime-a ploy to get everyone else to help him. Hope you had a good day today- the sun came out in fits & starts which was nice xxx
