Saturday 7th July
So much for my tennis game that I was going to play this
morning, the weather scuppered those plans…..Instead more household chores, and
then I ‘persuaded’ hubby that we really needed to go and buy a new washing
machine (the old one sounds like a jumbo jet taking off when it goes into spin
mode!!!) Now, be impressed with this next statement, I even found the original
paper work from the old machine which we bought in 1997 and cost us £617.00!!
That was a lot of money, but considering it has worked on average twice a day (four
children, one grubby farmer) for 15 years it’s done very well!!
Anyhow, whilst at the Grande Marche we had to food shop at
the same time, luckily we got out before the ‘world and his wife’ turned up! (And
it’s now been tested, you really cant push a trolley UP the escalator…….or
down for that matter…..
Meanwhile back at the ranch…….the new bedroom carpets are
being laid, and they do look (and smell) lovely! In-between all this i managed to
watch the ladies single final at Wimbledon, thought it might all be over in an
hour, but fortunately it turned out to be a good match.
Now as we are out this evening at a groovy 80th
birthday party this post is being put out early as there is little chance of me
writing ANYTHING when we get back………..
