Wednesday 11th July
Let’s just hope that all the exploits of yesterday’s fiasco
are behind me, (they were, literally), and there are no repeat performances. (I
didn’t mean that pun either!) I can’t cope with cancer and a flipping stomach
bug, that’s asking too much for a mere mortal such as myself!
Not had any results back from the hospital (they usually
take 48hours to ‘cook’ them) Wait, I can’t believe I am even discussing this
with the rest of the world!! Stop right there and move on…..
One good thing that came out of the terrible Tuesday was I
had two huge hugs from my sons, when I inadvertently ‘broke down’ in trying to
relay my information from the doctor to my current condition. (What a mum has
to do to get physical affection from her boys!!)
So today had been much improved and I’ve pottered about
doing usual chores, and feeling far more perky, much to relief of nurse RL who
was quick to relinquish her duties!
However I was doing a little ‘light’ vacuuming when an indignant
visitor SC (teacher of course) demanded to know ‘what did I think I was doing!’
with that disapproving face that only members of that profession can carry off!
She did bring me roses and a cake so she wasn’t really
cross, and she did make me laugh! I also had a beautiful orchid delivered by
Papa and a lovely card, so just as well I was sitting down drinking tea and ‘resting’,
otherwise there would have been another ‘grumpy’ face to contend with!!!
I was left this evening with a stern ‘verbal report’ from
the above mentioned teacher to eat more carbohydrates- she thinks “vegetables
are good but I need more potatoes and bread” (can you re read that with a
Jersey accent?).
“Housework is what a woman does that nobody notices unless
she hasn’t done it” Evan Esar
Sorry to hear yesterday was so awful but pleased that you're feeling a bit more human today. I think the teacher has to be obeyed!!! xx
