Sunday 22nd July
Wow, summer has really arrived!
We got up early and daughter and I went to Village Green Car Boot sale, looking
for ‘dog’ things, so pleased when we found a ‘travel crate’ for £10. (I did
think it might have been a very large bird cage, until RL pointed out they
would have flown through the bars!!) Now we are searching for ‘stair gates’ and
possibly a large ‘play pen!! Obviously baby equipment but ideal for puppy!
I drove to the tennis club and
played over an hour of tennis, thoroughly enjoyed myself and even had times I forgot I was ‘ill’. Now that really is brilliant!
Whizzed home for a spot of lunch,
and then spent the afternoon on the beach (with sun hat and umbrella!). Enjoyed
my second swim in the sea, (and yes the water is still cold!)
Joined later by hubby who had
spent the day cleaning out the utility room and cutting the grass- felt a bit
bad, but think he also spent a bit of time watching the golf and the Grand Prix,
so don’t feel that bad!!!
A combined effort with supper
preparation that included from the garden, broad beans, mange touts, courgettes
and carrots!
“It was one of those perfect
summer days-the sun was shining, a gentle breeze was blowing, the birds were
singing and the lawnmower was broken” James Dent
No afternoon nap, hopefully the Tigger juice is doing its thang. Really good to read you sounding bouncy.xx
