Sunday 8th July
Brilliant keep fit class this morning, felt very strong and
fit (makes a change)! It was nice to see the sun today, and lucky for the West
Show that at least they had one dry day.
We watched most of the men’s single final at Wimbledon, but
it was a long time for me to sit still, so cut the grass and missed out some of
the tennis. Actually felt a bit sorry for that ‘dour old Scotsman’ in the end,
he was very emotional and gave a good ‘loser’ speech.
Four of us went to see our new puppy tonight, her eyes are
just opening, and she is gorgeous! We did have a minor incident on the way
though (Son no 2 is not the only one that saves lives).
Driving along the lanes we saw a very young girl of maybe
four or five years old on her own pedalling furiously on a little trike bike
that was way too small for her. So, we
drove past and then stopped as I was so concerned, I went to check if she was
ok, (thought maybe the bandana would scare her, but didn’t seem to). She told
me her name and showed me a letter she had that was about the sponsored walk that St Martin
school had done the previous week, I managed to work out she lived close by,
and she pedalled off again. Obviously I was really worried about her safety and
after knocking on a few doors located her mum, who didn’t realise she was
missing and was horrified. Needless to say we caught up with her (she had gone
about half a mile down the lane towards the school) and reunited them both. So
it all ended happily, and so pleased that we were able to help her and she was
safe.

Crikey, well done with the little girl. Lots of scary thoughts going through my head of what could have happened if you hadn't intervened. Sounds like Tigger is back with attitude. Great stuff!xx
