Saturday 21st July
Woke up not feeling particularly different from any other morning,
but as the weather was beautiful decided to go for an early walk along St
Catherine. I can walk FASTER without getting out of breath, bonus! I thought
the transfusion yesterday would mean instant fuelling of red bull/ mars bars
but no, it seems a very gentle improvement of energy! I have to thank Nurse KG
for looking after me so well yesterday and buying me flowers at lunchtime, so
sweet of her, and nice to see a friendly face.
Hubby and family were brilliant yesterday in what proved a
long and tedious day, but if it gets me through my next blood test on Tuesday
and chemo Thursday well worth it.
I had my first swim in the sea at my beloved Bel Val, boy
was it cold , and no winning Olympic medals for ‘staying in the longest’, if I
did 5 minutes it was an exaggeration ,
but thoroughly enjoyed it all the same.
Hubby and I played pentanque this afternoon (after brief
sleep/nap), we teamed up to play two men, so at one game each and all to play for,
I ‘introduced’ a tactical game that paid off, and we won!! Result!!
We came home via Ransoms and had not been in the door long
when MJ came around with some lilies and a ‘cheer up’ hug, much appreciated.
Our evening was spent at Rozel enjoying the hospitality of Rozel boat owners
‘Pig on a pier’, an excellent evening renewing old acquaintances.

nearly an armful.” Tony Hancock
