Monday 21st January

Monday 21st January

Not a ‘blue’ Monday for me, a most exciting and fruitful day (no pun intended). I met up with SS and we walked around Queens’s valley, managing to avoid the rain.

A yoga class at the Merton which I always find so beneficial for the mind as well as the body, unfortunately I had to follow that up with a M&S shop!

Really good news is that it is still light at 5pm, so not such a mad rush to walk the dog before it gets dark.

I was asked to play netball tonight for our E team in division 3, I don’t believe they have won a game yet this season……….until tonight that is, a very close score 34/35 in our favour!!

Tonight’s quote is courtesy of my elder brother…..

A Doctor was addressing a large audience in Tampa.
'The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High fat diets can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water. However, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of
all and we all have eaten, or will eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?'
After several seconds of quiet, a 75-year-old
man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said,

'Wedding Cake.'
