Sunday 6th January
I felt SO much better this morning, and thought that I’d
take the dog for a walk as I am supposed to be taking it easy (i.e. no aerobics
class sadly- or tennis for that matter). Anyway, stayed out later than I intended
after having an hour walk plus a 15minute chat with a stranger and his dog on
Bel Royal beach!!
Needless to say when I got back I was tired (and chastised
by hubby), and had to lie down for an hour! The doctor from the hospital who
treated me rang to see how I was, but also to tell me that one of the blood
tests they had taken was showing a high reading (?). So she was double checking
to see how I was responding otherwise she would have wanted me back in hospital
for another test. She did say she was contacting my Oncology doctor and
checking that we had made an appointment with them for tomorrow afternoon.
I feel very fortunate to live in this Island with that kind
of care, so many people ‘watching your back’ and aiding your convalescence. I
obviously hope there is nothing radically wrong with my bloods, but no point
worrying about it.
Anyway on a lighter note saw my God daughter (DC) for two
minutes today before she jetted off back to University. (Fog permitting….). AND
had a lovely surprise in a special delivery from AH- hot chicken casserole,
vegetables and two nets of satsumas(for my vitamin C)!! The real Pièce de
résistance was the pavlova- amazing, son no 3 said it was a prize-winning
pavlova!! Everyone enjoyed supper tonight and many thanks again- it was very
much appreciated.
So pleased to hear you are feeling much better today.Annoying for you missing your sunday morning keep fit with those amazing girls, but am sure you'll be there next week. Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteI'm REALLY pleased you're feeling better and hope your blood test results are not a problem. There seems to be no stopping you exercise or walking the dog, I could do with some of your energy and get up and go! - At the moment I'm being woken by Adria more often again, but not feeling too bad considering. Not made any new year resolutions, but I have decided I really must try and fit some exercise back into my life and so am going to try the Back to Netball sessions on Monday evenings and maybe the odd weekend run with Sally. They better not put me in as GK otherwise the GD might get scared off the court! - May need to take a gag with me! Hope you continue to feel better. X
ReplyDeleteGreat comments ladies- see you on court Emma, and good luck with little Adria.. xxxx
