Tuesday 22nd January

Tuesday 22nd January

A lot of rain has fallen today; I got very wet along Grouville beach this morning despite my ‘waterproof’ gear.

I do not have to worry about getting my hair wet and it going frizzy, although the newly formed curls do seem to have a mind of their own!

This picture is significant- the fact that I now actually have enough hair to comb is a real breakthrough (and much appreciated in this cold weather) but even more exciting for me is the fact that I never used to be able to brush my hair let alone comb it!!!!

My house is filled with the lovely scent of lilies and fresh flowers, shame my flower arranging is badly lacking. By the way I happen to read an article in a magazine that says the floristry oasis gets rid of the yellow pollen mark from Lily stamens.

Good grief, if I’m not prattling on about dogs I’m now burbling about plants……..

The whole family (bar myself) has now succumbed to the various virus bugs that are prevalent in the Island, three with heavy colds, one with acute tonsillitis, and now hubby has been violently sick and taken to his bed (actually that's my bed too, so he better not have the Norovirus!)

“Children in a family are like flowers in a bouquet: there's always one determined to face in an opposite direction from the way the arranger desires.”
