Thursday 31st January
Visited the Macmillan
centre today, they were holding their ‘last Thursday of the month’ coffee
mornings. The theme this month was on complimentary therapies, and there were
about 4 or 5 therapists who attended. It was interesting listening to all they
had to offer, and I may even give one or two a try out sometime.
A sandwich for lunch and then off to work, I do P.E
with four year olds on a Thursday.
In-between transferring children from class to sports hall,
one little bright spark told me a ‘joke’-
“Why did the carrot cross the road?” ………….”Because he wanted
to” and
“Why did the donkey cross the road”?...........you guessed
it …………..“because he wanted to”
Well, he was four, and I don’t think really had the hang of ‘jokes’!!
Illness update;-
Sons No.1 and 2 greatly improved, son No.3 a gradual
improvement, daughter very poorly and missed college today, hubby back on
antibiotics and coughing heavily, so much so we had to pull out of the meal at
the Moorings Hotel tonight.
“I like to call in sick to work at places where I’ve never
held a job. Then when the manager tells me I don’t work there, I tell them I’d
like to. But not today, as I’m sick.”
